Dear Valued CBOAC Member, We at the County Building Officials Association of California would like to thank you for your continued membership. Our organization is dedicated to supporting efforts towards greater communication, education and networking among code officials, industry and design professionals. With the beginning of a new year, your annual CBOAC membership is welcomed to be renewed or if you would like to become a member please refer to the “Membership Application”.

Membership Types
Principal
The designated representative official of a California county, city or governmental agency who is actively engaged in the development, maintenance, or enforcement of building code regulations with membership on behalf of said county or governmental agency. This “Principal” membership is usually the Building Official in your jurisdiction. All members affiliated with and/or employed by your jurisdiction are eligible for a membership discount. (Each Principal shall have one (1) vote) . Dues are $250.
Associate
An official of a California county, city or governmental agency, other than the designated (Principal) representative official, who is actively engaged in the development, maintenance, or enforcement of regulations pertaining to fire safety, community development or industrial safety including, but not limited to, Building, Plumbing, Electrical, or Mechanical. This “Associate” membership is usually an employee of the jurisdiction or industry member. All members affiliated with and/or employed by your jurisdiction are eligible for a membership discount. Dues are $250.
Industry
An individual or organization, other than a designated (Principal) representative official, engaged in the engineering, manufacture, or sale of products, materials, or services related to building construction or to building codes and regulation. All members affiliated with and/or employed by your company or chapter are eligible for membership discount. This membership may also be an affiliated Chapter of the ICC. (Each industry company represented by at least one (1) member shall have (1) vote) Dues are $250.
Honorary
An “Honorary” membership may be granted to a retired or active member of CBOAC in recognition of his or her service in the field of building safety and regulation; or in recognition of outstanding personal contribution toward fulfillment of the organization’s goals and objectives.
